![]() ![]() In any case, I was forced to go look for another solution and I hope others read this to wake up and stop dragging their feet with a tool that keeps crashing and does not allow the freedom of creative work to progress. I think I am done with TechSmith unless I see that they get it together as I'll still check for updates since I paid for it although I have not been able to use it and honestly Camtasia 8 versions were much better.Ĩ also doesn't work now either as I think having both versions on my machine 2019 must derail version 8's most recent update. But Camtasia 2019 does not live up to any of it from what I have seen.Īll you get is a list of new features the coders went all out for but none of it works. Yet, this inexpensive tool I had to go buy allows for many features plus syncs in time without the waste of time that Camtasia will suck out of you trying to get it to work and render. Just a good basic set up and it does what Camtasia's specs say is all you need. Nothing like game level revved up under the hood bells and whistles required. It plays moving footage with music without the stops, stutters and crashes on a PC with decent specs. AND it does all the things Camtasia will not do. ![]() I tried up to the latest update and feel ashamed of this product losing out to a much better low end product that the name all I will say begins with an M and only cost me just under $80. It now will not play on a decent PC with 16 gigs of ram stops, stutters, crashes won't render and support has no answers. Many troublesome interface updates and unintuitive adaptations to what was once a great tool. I dont know if this is an easily fixable issue but as of now, this is very annoying.Shame on Tech Smith for the inferior updates to the Camtasia product. I cannot edit a 20 to 30 minute long highly edited video if the program stutters every time I split. I only upgraded for the new features, which by the way are amazing, I see an immediat increase in quality from camtasia 9, but at this point, its better to just refund 2022. Pretty muhc no lag until the video is almost complete, at which point, there are literally hundreds of splits, on camtasia 9, but I switch to 2022, and I can barely do 10 before It becomes noticably laggy. I edit the same style videos, highly edited, and using a lot of cuts/animation/pretty much everything in the program for literally years on camtasia 9 with absolutely no problem. The only way to fix this is to restart the program. It gets laggy very quicky, within maybe 1 or 2 minutes of editing its already so laggy there is a good pause inbetween every split. The more Splits I make the more laggy it gets. And a few maintenance versions later, the bugs in Camtasia were finally fixed. it's programs in the autostart folder."). I've had about 10 support cases in the last 3 years and in almost all of them I was told great nonsense ("it's one of my USB devices. But tech support should really stop looking through the diagnostic files and coming up with the first "unusual" find and claim that could be the source of the problem, instead of actually investigating the problem (for example by requesting project files and repro steps). Yes, I'm aware of all necessary steps (repro steps/video, sample projects) and I'm happy to provide everything required to reproduce these issues. You should also file a report with tech support, sharing those screencast links with them If tech support has access to the ticket system / bug tracker etc., they should be aware of any known issues related to the new version. ![]() It's sufficient if anybody in the company monitors this forum and makes sure QA / development knows about those issues. Tech support, as a general rule, does not monitor this forum ![]()
